He was predeceased by: his parents, William Taylor Hurt and Ora Foster Hurt; his sisters, Ruth Tussey and Edwina Storms; and his nephew Kenny Tussey.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Rogers Hurt; his children, Rev. Roger F. Hurt of Paint Lick, Ann Nebraski (Dave) of Mason and Lisha Crecelius (Greg) of Berea; his great grandchildren, Chloe Riffle, Ellie Riffle, Max Riffle and Miles Riffle; and his nieces and nephews, Peggy Waller, Donna Bartley, Randall Tussey, Daniel Rogers, Rebekah Shoopman and Ruth Hernandez. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
