With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ruby Hammons Grimes of Richmond, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Taylor Hammons and Katie Miller Hammons. She is survived by: her spouse Dorlan Grimes of Richmond; her daughters, Jan Neece (John) and Kelley McBride (Jody); her grandchildren, Ryan McBride, Faith Neece, Brady McBride and Bennett Neece (Sarah); her sister Doris Hastie; her niece Susan King Herrick; her great-niece Kristy Anderson (Mark); her great-nephew Josh Dennis; and also Lawson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (425 Eastern Bypass, Richmond, KY 40475). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
