She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Garner and Reada Meador Estes; her husband John Wilson Brandenburg; her children, Margaret Ann Brandenburg Hensley and John Wilson Brandenburg, Jr.; her brother Oscar Garner Estes, Jr.; and her brother-in-law James R. Judy.
She is survived by: her son Mike Brandenburg (Jennifer) of Richmond; her grandchildren, Melony Lane, Lindsay Wiley (Casey), Katie Stallons (Cody), Bobbi Brandenburg of Richmond, Jack Brandenburg (Trista) of Jacksonville, FL and Meg Parker (Geoff) of Lexington; her great grandchildren, Tucker, Brooks and Wilson Wiley; her grandchildren, Garner, Marlowe, Nellie Claire Stallons, Hazel, Clara Parker, May Brandenburg and Mildred; her sister-in-law Janie B. Judy of Lexington; and her close friends, Betty Hall, Loraine Bicknell, Kathy West, Edith Isaacs, Betty Gadd and Jackie Shanks.
When COVID stifled her social life, she took up hand embroidery (threading her own needles!) and created numerous family heirlooms.
