She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edwin and Evelyn Wiliams Shemwell. She is survived by: her spouse Jerry Faughn; her children, Laura Faughn of Winchester and David Faughn (Glenda McCoy) of Richmond; her grandchildren, Jaycob, Keaston and Katherine Faughn; and her siblings, Thomas Shemwell and Julia Mesplay.
