She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Fred L. Ballou Jr.; and her son Fred L. "Trae" Ballou III. She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Ballou; her grandchildren, Claire and Michael Ballou; and her sister Becky Mylum (Robert). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
