He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Rupard and Viola Webb Rupard; his wife Effie Thomas Rupard; his daughter Charlene Rupard; his brothers, Harold Rupard and Charles Rupard; and his son-in-law Cody Robertson.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Rupard, Connie Thomas (Dale) of Richmond, Darlene Ramey (James) of Richmond and Ann Marshall of Richmond; and his grandchildren, Steven Rupard (Victoria), Stephanie Miller (Ryan), Brian Rupard, Lindsey Rupard, Curtis Cheeks (Crystal), Michael Cheeks, Dale Thomas (Amy), Tamara Thomas, Ashley Robertson, Adam Lee Ramey, Sarah Juett (Jonathan) and Shaye Marshall. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
