He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen L. Vass and Carmen Lawson Vass (Jackie). He is survived by: his wife Deborah Shifflett Vass; his children, Cole T. Vass, Christy V. Heath (Darin) and Derek J. Vass (Leisa); his grandson Brody A. Heath; his sisters, Carolyn Fore Orlando (Ron) and Mary Evelyn Curtis; and his nephews, John M. Ryle and Chris W. Fore (Samantha).
