We are sad to announce that on July 16, 2024, at the age of 82, James Edward Hobbs in Richmond, Kentucky, born in Jackson, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though James Edward may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Hobbs and Beatrice Gabbard Hobbs; his sister Imogene; and his siblings-in-law, Clyde Carter and Judy Hobbs.

He is survived by: his wife Irene Middleton Hobbs; his daughter Kim Witt (Brian); his granddaughter Serena Witt; and his brothers, Don Hobbs (Sue) and Danny Hobbs. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
