She was predeceased by: her husband Meletuc Duerson; her parents, Phelbert Samuel and Eva Nettie Blythe Brooks; her stepson Meletuc Duerson Jr.; and her sisters, Pearl Lena Williams and Anna Dean Miller.
She is survived by: her son Kenneth L. Duerson (Clara); her grandchildren, Andrea Duerson Pettus (Kevin), Jennifer Duerson Williams (Rayford) and Auston J. Duerson (Cheyla); her great grandchildren, Michael Pettus (McCayley), Lamesha Smothers, Lakyia Pettus, Herrica Pettus, Andrew Pettus, Matthew Pettus, Olivia Pettus, Justin Talley, Lauren Talley and London Williams; and her great great grandchildren, Riley Smothers, Vaughn Smothers, Kendra Doan, Amani Pettus and Camden Gander. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
