He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Henry and Nora Bell Hatton Turpin; his former wife Irene Marie Howard; his son Charles Turpin; his siblings, Charles Turpin, Johnny Turpin, Katherine Kaylor, Eva Jo Schoenrock and Christine Gentry; his children-in-law, Patty Turpin and Michael Fritz; and his siblings-in-law, Faye Turpin, Brenda Turpin, Charlie Kaylor, Don Schoenrock and W. D. Gentry.
He is survived by: his wife Charolette Helen Turpin; his children, Douglas Turpin (Teressa), Jimmy Turpin, Tommy Turpin (Maryanne), Regina Lynch (Doug), Barbara Fritz, Sherry Baker (Darrell) and Myrtle Walton (Roger); and his brothers, James Turpin (Betty) and Forrest Turpin. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
