She is survived by: her daughters, JoAnn Shackelford, Sr. (Elbert) of Richmond and Freida Mullins (Jesse) of Richmond; her siblings, Alex "J. J." Gipson (Jo), Wayne Gipson (Sylvia), Esther Handley (Bill) and Sandra Biggs; her sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann Gipson and Sharon Gipson; her grandchildren, Elbert Shackelford, Jr. (Victoria), Christina Parke (Steven), Renee Bowles (Jed), Ashley Shackelford, Kayla Mullins, Alexis Baker and Holly Myers (Frank); and her stepchildren, James Timothy Johns (Kristy) and Emily Teater (David). She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
