He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Chambers and Catherine Griggs Chambers; and his siblings, John Chambers, Martha Harris and Pat Carr.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Officer and Keith Chambers; his stepsons, Scotty and Jason Nuckolls; his siblings, Charles Chambers (Donna) and Marietta McBride; and his grandchildren, Elicia Kelly, Dannielle Officer, Kyle Kelly, Dylan Officer, Dalton Chambers, Kaitlyn Nuckolls, Cassie Nuckolls and Hannah Eversole. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
