He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles LaRue and Virginia Rachel Gallaher Tarter. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jeanette Serb Tarter; his children, Andrew "Andy" Donald Tarter (Judith) and Angela Margaret Tarter; and his grandson Jackson LaRue Tarter. He is also survived by other extended family and friends.
