He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Mills and Myrtle Carnes Mills. He is survived by: his daughters, Kitty Allen (Rick) of Richmond and Wendy Mills of Charlotte; his siblings, Ruby Pearson, Elaine Palumbo, Carol Bowling and Holbert Mills; his sister-in-law Barbara "Biji" Baker; and his grandchildren, Richard Mills Allen, John Bradley Allen and Hunter Carnes Allen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
