Derrick Cox Obituary

Derrick Allen Cox, age 33, of Richmond, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022.

Derrick, the son of Herman Wagers and Sherri Cox Rhorer, was born in Fayette County on June 5, 1989. He was a Cook at Waffle House. He loved to sing and be outdoors.

Survivors include his mother: Sherri (& William) Rhorer; his son: Aiden Cox Sims; two brothers: Shawn (& Dena) Cox and Dustin Cox; his sister: Samantha (& Kevin) Sparks; his maternal grandparents: Alvas and Suzette Cox; his great grandmother: Alene Logan; two aunts: Amy Cox and Denna (& Basam) Imad; two uncles: Tim (& Joann) Wagers and Keith (& Vickie) Wagers and several cousins.

Derrick was preceded in death by his father, Herman Wagers and his paternal grandparents: Herman and Martha Wagers.

Memorial Services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
