Danny Cain Obituary
Danny Glenn Cain, 62, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was the husband of Debra Ann Short Cain Danny was born on May 10, 1961 in Richmond, and was the son of the late Troy and Henrietta Abney Cain. He was a retired boiler technician with EKU.
Survivors in addition to his wife include: one son, Billy Cain (Hope); two daughters, Amanda Beth Partin (John) and Ella Mae McCallister (Chad); grandchildren, Misty Dawn Hall (Josh), Raymond Daniel Taulbee, Alexis Danielle Peters, Summer Nicole Cain, Dalton Peters, Hayden Tyler Cain, Dustin Taulbee, Katie Isaacs, Mick McCallister, Mason McCallister, Dominick McCallister and Andrew McCallister; great-grandchildren, Haley Isaacs, Harley Isaacs, Keyaunia Cain and Paisley Elizabeth Harper Hall; brothers, Ernest Cain (Deanie) and Donald Cain (Paula); four sisters, Francis Ann Hall (Voyd Rose), Dora Mae Thomas (Randy), Jean Powell, and Mary Kirby (Phillip); and a sister-in-law, Vickie Francis (Dennis).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: two grandchildren, Zachary Aaron Cain and Nathaniel Stephen Ray Cain; and brothers, James Harold Cain, Bill Cain and Edgar Reed Cain and a brother in law Ronnie Powell.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2024 at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Harry Hoover officiating the services. Burial will follow at the Flatwoods Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2024 at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Hayden Cain, Dalton Peters, Josh Hall, Howard "Bubba" Farthing Jr., Troy Cain and Dustin Taulbee. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad McCallister, John Taulbee, Shannon Barger, Frankie Smith and Raymond Taulbee.
