He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Clarence Fain; and also, Bert Pearson and Helen Pearson. He is survived by: his wife Paula; his sons, Stephen Allen Guerra and Matthew Hunter Guerra; his mother-in-law Sue Pearson Fain; his brother Lee Fain; his sister-in-law Patricia Fain; his children, Joey Rust, Rachael Rust, Alycia Rust, Aunt Rust and Peggy Rust; and his cousin Greg Carpenter (Lorie).

Donations may be made to The Richmond Fire Department Toys for Kids Program, 200 N. Madison Ave. Richmond, Kentucky 40475 or the Nicholasville Firefighters Toy Drive, 1022 S. Main Street, Nicholasville, Kentucky 40356.
