She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Anglin and Emma Shelton Anglin Pearson; her husband James Carter; her son Jeff Carter; and her brothers, Boyd Anglin and Floyd Anglin.

She is survived by: her daughters, Renee Lighty (Jesse) and Denise Carter; and her grandchildren, Sarra Moberly, Ciara Moberly, Kerri Moberly, Jamie Lighty and Michael Lighty.
