He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Taylor and Edgar Benton; and his siblings, Nolan Ray Benton, Jimmy Wayne Benton and Shirley Ann Benton.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Marie Benton; his children, Eddie Benton (Mandy) of Lexington, KY, Kenneth Benton (Kelly) of Paint Lick, KY and Charlene M. Benton of Richmond, KY; his sister Barbara Hendren; and his grandchildren, Luke Benton (Angela) and Whitney Harris (Ross). He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
