It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cathy Tate of Richmond, Kentucky, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James W. "Jimmy" Tate of Jimmy's Furniture; her parents, Henry Young and Lillie Mae Brockman Young; her son Douglas Marshall; and her siblings, Gary Dean Young, James Young, Helen Benton, Ruby Drummond, Kathy Ann Yarber and Reatha Biggs.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Marshall (Tina), Tessie Reid and Tammy Felty; her stepdaughters, Jamie Prewitt (David) and Patricia Hoskins (Boots); her sister Kimberly Short; her daughter-in-law Dawn Marhsall; her grandchildren, Kendall Marshall, Carissa Cavin (Corey), D. L. Marshall Jr. (Kristi), Zachary Marshall (Mary), Megan Elam, Chris Prewitt (Nikki), Audrey Deaton (Steven), Renee Barnes (Mike) and Sherry Alexander (Mike); and her great grandchildren, Eleanor Cavin, Gavin Marshall, Taelynn Marshall, Laylin Marshall, Wyatt Marshall, Evie Marshall, McCoy Prewitt, Davis Prewitt, Britany Barnes, Katie Barnes, Logan Alexander and Brooke Alexander. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
