He was predeceased by: his wife Janie Hampton; and his parents, May'Buck' Hampton and Katherine Hampton (Conner). He is survived by: his daughters, Shannon Wade (Jason) of Richmond, Alison Hampton of Richmond and Sarah Guilbault (Matt) of Richmond; his grandchildren, Joseph Hampton, Hunter Walls, Jaeden Sterling, Kayden Wade, Brooklyn and Kellan Guilbault; his great grandchild Sawyer James; and his brother Richard Hampton.
One of his greatest accomplishments was his contribution to youth sports, as a parent, a coach, and mentor.
