She was predeceased by: her parents, William Smith and Bessie A. Thurman Smith; her son Anthony McDaniels; and her siblings, William Smith, Jr. and Margaret Mae Warford.
She is survived by: her daughter Regina Barnes; and her grandchildren, Joyce Higgs (Terrence), Moechia Reeves (James) and LaDonna McDaniels. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
