She was predeceased by: her husband Jesse Story, Jr.; her parents, Dillard Tate and Rhoda M. Tate; her daughter Sharon Tudor; her grandson Jason Roberts; and her siblings, Douglas Tate and Paula McHargue.
She is survived by: her children, Jesse "Mike" Story (Wilma) and Marsha Tharpe (John); her siblings, Kenneth Tate (Danella) and Carol Tipton (Butch); her grandchildren, Kurt Isaacs (Beth), Krystal Lowery (Will), Jessica Strong (Will) and Dylan Story (Courtney); and her close friends, Kim Massingill and Wanda McFerron.
