He was predeceased by: his parents, William Elbert and Annie Christopher Sanders; his wife Georgia Reed Sanders; his son Gary Sanders (Fay); his grandson Mark; and his siblings, Ben Sanders, Carter Sanders, Early Ray Sanders and Burnetta June Sanders.
He is survived by: his children, Kenny Sanders (Judy) and Anita Smith; his sisters, Geneva Joy Sanders-Johnson, Mary Helen McBride and Etta Carr Sanders-Brown; his grandchildren, Kevin, Kenny, Kimberly, Ricky, Donnie, Gary and Sheila; and his niece Pam Johnson-Kimball. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home (328 W Main St, Richmond, KY 40475). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
