He is survived by: his mother DeeDee Kirby Hankins; his children, Tatum Elizabeth Tate, Anna Lynn Tate and Hunter Douglas Tate; his uncles, William Kirby (Buddy), Kenneth Tate and Richard McHargue; his aunt Carol Tipton; his grandmother Diana Woods; and his stepgrandfather Ronald Lichterman. He is also survived by several cousins and many dear friends.
