He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Adkins and Elmina Corley Adkins; his wife Priscilla Adkins; his daughter Vicki Orzehoski; and his siblings, David Adkins, Mary Ellen Rice and Shirley Isom.
He is survived by: his daughter Denise Potts (Clifford); and his grandson John Potts. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
