She was predeceased by: her parents, Tommy Powers and Eloise Bates Powers; her sister Shelia Adkins; her brother-in-law Kenzel Adkins; and her parents-in-law, Preston Cheek and Opal Cheek.
She is survived by: her husband Durward Cheek; her children, Marsha Ayer (Scott) and Delwin Cheek (Teresa); her grandchildren, Jenna Peercy (Jeff), Logan Cheek (Holly Ann) and Kolten Cheek (Kenzie); and her siblings, Linda Anderson, Jerry "Bud" Powers (Shirley) and Ricky (Cheryl).
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Zion Baptist Church (37 Bowman Rd, Reynolds Station, KY 42368). A burial was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at the Pellville Cemetery.
