As we bid Gene farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gene is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Comilious Thompson and Isabelle Thompson (Smith); and his sister Judith Ann Thompson. He is survived by: his daughter Resa Ross; his sister Barbara Byerly (Don) of Reidland; his nephew Darrell Taylor; his great-nephews, Alex and Matt; and his great-niece Lexie.
