He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary McDaniel (Hicks); his wife Delilah McDaniel (Davis); his parents, William Carmen McDaniel and Treva Washer (Smith); and his siblings, Wayne McDaniel and Evelyn Wilkins.
He is survived by: his son David McDaniel (Teresa) of Nashville; his stepson Mike Davis (Milly) of Paducah; his daughters, Camilla Box (Eddie) of Paducah and Karen Jackson (Jack) of Murray; his grandchildren, Mary Catherine Patty (Darren), Drew Wooldridge, Clare McDaniel, Russ McDaniel (Jordyn) and May McDaniel; his stepgrandchildren, Jill Vessels (Justin) and Clay Davis; his great grandchild Henley McDaniel; and his stepgreat-grandsons, Davis Vessels and Grey Vessels. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
