Clarence Camp Obituary
Clarence Eldon (Bud) Camp, 85, of Regina, New Mexico passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at his home in Regina, New Mexico. He was born on May 2, 1930 in Romeo, Colorado to Clarence and Zettie Camp. Bud served in the Army during the Korean War. During his life, which was mainly spent in southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico, he drove truck, worked on various construction projects, was involved in all aspects of lumber production and spent many years working for various mining companies.
Afterwards, Bud and his wife, Eleanor, became owners of Bud's Oil Company in Regina, New Mexico, which they operated for 23 years. Bud served many years as a volunteer in the Regina Fire Department. Retirement in Regina, New Mexico continued to be quite busy as Bud was able to set up a workshop where he occupied himself by making pens and various items.
He also welded, plowed snow, and worked on various equipment and performed backhoe work, etc. Bud loved to give the beautiful things he made to his family and friends. Bud and Eleanor delighted in going into the forest to harvest trees which would be made into lumber after which Bud would make many lovely household items.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years of marriage, Eleanor Camp, two sons, Jimmy Camp (Katrina) and Norman Camp (Glynda), two daughters, Brenda Massad and Tammie Hamilton (Paul), 13 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren, two sisters, Audrey Neill and Elaine (Leroy) Doudy. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Nona Whitcomb and son-in-law Tom Massad Jr.
Bud will be deeply missed by his family and friends who had the wonderful opportunity of knowing and loving him. A celebration of his life with family and friends will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Eichwald Center, 38 NM State Highway 126 in Cuba, New Mexico.
