She was predeceased by: her parents, John Beasley and Goldie Beasley (Everett); her husband Truman Swearer; and her sons, Gary Swearer and Snookie Beasley.

She is survived by: her children, Tootie Swearer of Reed and Gilda Justice of Reed. She is also survived by five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
