He was predeceased by: his parents, George French and Sara Emon Whitlock French; his wife Elizabeth Madelene "Betty" Lamkin; his daughter Lisa Botaz; his granddaughter Kayla Renee French; and his siblings, Chester French, Walter French, Charlie French, Bill French, Mildred Wheatley, Opal Scott, Bertha French and Dorothy French.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Mattingly (Michael) of Raywick, Kathy Napier (Chris) of Brooks, KY, Beverly Holton (Tony) of Vandalia, Michigan, Donald French (Retta) of Ligonier and Doug French (Kim) of Taylorsville; and his brother Kenneth Hardin French of Louisville. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
