He is survived by: his wife Shirley Young of Raywick, KY; his children, John Seward (Charlotte) of Lebanon, KY, Bruce Rood and April Roles (Randy Rantz) of South Bend, IN; his nieces and nephews, Bobby Ellison (Ann), Eddie Ellison (Melissa), Tom Bennett, Tim Frazier (Joy), Pam Bennett and Shelia Harris; his siblings, Helen Ellison, Tommy Wheatley and Joe Keithley; his sisters-in-law, Peggy Willard and Sue Frazier; his grandchildren, Lexi Roles, Lucas Roles and Samantha Goen (Gabriel); and his close friend Thelma Corbit.

Due to Covid-19, funeral services will be private.
