He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsworth Smith and Lola Smith; his daughter Lola Ann Smith; his granddaughter Paige Dennis; and his siblings, Eleanor Lou Smith, Elmer Smith and Frank "Shorty" Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Elsa "Bevins" Smith of Ransom; his daughters, Tissa Smith of Lexington, KY, Tina Smith of South Carolina and Nikki Smith Dillon of Ransom, KY.; his siblings, Jackie Smith of Ransom, Dickie Smith of Belfry, KY and Debbie Smith of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Michael Scott of Ransom, Stephanie Scott, Emily Smith Stroud of Belfry and Faith Smith; and his great grandchild Lola Rae Stroud of Belfry.
