She was predeceased by: her parents, Rupert Clark and Dorothy L. Chafin (Hatfield); and her siblings, Teddy Carl Chafin, Andy Simon Chafin and Debbie Marie Chafin Smith.
She is survived by: her husband James Darrell Bowens of Ransom, KY; her son James Darrell Bowens Jr. (Shasta) of Turkey Creek, KY; her brothers, David Chafin (Sandra) and Rodney Justice (Missy); and her cousin Elaine Hatfield of Double Camp. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and many friends.
