She is survived by: her husband Jimmie L. Thornton; her daughter Lashandra McNair; her stepdaughter Burrethe Wallace; her siblings, Clara Stewart, Hattie Smith, Bertha Elam, Mary Sims, Lucille Leonard, Sylvester Coleman and Tommie Lee Coleman; and her grandchildren, Evian Thornton, Damon Mansfield, Alexus Thornton and Eliza McNair.
