He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard "Boise" and Zella C. Payne Tyler; and his siblings, Doris Mae Gibson, Marvin, Charles, Fred, Donald and George Tyler.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Roberts (Twana Shaffer) of Hamilton, Scott Tyler (Julie) of Radcliff, KY and Terri Bryant (Buddy Lee) of Chillicothe; and his brother Frank Tyler (Lucinda) of Chillicothe. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren.
