She was predeceased by: her parents, Taylor Hopkins and Callie Myrtle Hopkins (Burke); her siblings, John Henry Hopkins, Ernest Gordon Hopkins and Katy Marie Bartram; her husband Rev. Gene Bronston Waggoner of Lexington, KY; her brother William Cody "Buff" Hopkins (Ruth) of Russell, KY; and her nieces and nephews, Rebecca Brown (Randy) of Florence, KY, Robin Waggoner of Lexington, KY, Rhonda Roos (Vic) of Louisville, KY and Rene Matthews (Joe) of Lexington, KY..
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Sarah DiGrezio (Bill), Ben Brown (Julianne), Megan Polanin (Josh), Keigan Mull (Katy), Samuel Brown (Jackie), Andrew Brown (Chelsea), Maggie Matthews, Millie Matthews and Molly Matthews; and her great grandchildren, Ava, Makenna, Liam, Bailyn, Lily, Camdyn, Emma, Bronston, Silas, Eliza, Dia, Quinn, Zadie, River and Grayson. She is also survived by four daughters, and a playful companion for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Janie's family kindly requests that expressions of love be made in her memory to Hospice (Bluegrass Care Navigators) or Samaritan's Purse International Relief, organizations close to Janie's heart.
