He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy McColpin and Antonia McColpin; and his brothers, Jim, Tom and Dean.

He is survived by: his wife Deborah Kay Fackler; his children, Antonia Brummet (Chris), Michelle Lafollette (Paul) and Gary McColpin (Emily); his grandchildren, Owen, Benjamin and Connor; the mother of his children Deborah McColpin; and his brothers, Larry and Roger.
