He is survived by: his wife Tanna Darby-Nichols; his son Tanner; his mother Eron Jeanette "Aunt Jen" Bethea of Thomasville, AL; his siblings, Michelle Deas (Jeff) of Thomasville, AL, Mike Nichols (Nicole) of Moore, OK and Joe; his sister-in-law Melinda Darby of Canton, GA; his mother Peggy Ann Lott of Houston, TX; his cousins, Kelly Lott McDonald (Kelly-Man Jordan), Bruce Lott (Laura), Steve Lott (Debbie), Jennifer Sigler Williams, Jason Sigler, Eric Nichols, Cheryl Ayala, Jeremy, Justin McDonald, Steely, Gage Lott, Chris and Kristen Lott; and his sidekicks, Temp, Viktor, Ninny and Midgie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
In 2010 he moved to Elizabethtown and began work at The Louisville Regional Airport until his position was eliminated and he was forced into early retirement due to COVID in 2020.
