He was predeceased by: his daughter Melissa Ann Joiner; his parents, Elmon Lee and Izetta Yates; and his siblings, Eugene Yates and Barbara Yates.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Yates of Radcliff, KY; his children, Chris Yates (April) of Radcliff, KY, Jennifer Blair (Tim) of Brandenburg, KY and Amanda Heuke (Brian) of Radcliff, KY; his grandchildren, Bethany, Brady, Bailey, Tyler, Taylor, Blake, Hunter, Madison, Brooklyn and Ethan Dylan; and his great grandchildren, Maci and Rowan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family & many friends.
