She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy L. Carpenter and Edith Baumgardner Carpenter. She is survived by: her husband John Vanderwege; her children, Chandler Rigdon (Kevin), Aaron Riggs and John Vanderwege Jr. (Jamie); and her brother Roy L. Carpenter Jr. (Buddy). She is also survived by grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
