He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Dailey and Imogene Mauldin Dailey; his sisters, Rose Ellen Edlin and Shirley Butler; and his grandson Alex Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Rosie Butler Dailey; his children, Timmy Miller (Sabrina), Chris Miller (Allison), Issac Dailey (Michaela), Melissa Wiedeman and Brandy Dailey; and his brother Michael Dailey. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
