It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rodie Gale Varney (Raccoon, Kentucky), who passed away on October 29, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke Varney and Herma Varney; and his siblings, Ralph Varney, David Varney, Jean Layne and Helen Varney.

He is survived by: his wife Inez Varney (Burchett); his children, Cleveland Varney (Joy), Marcy Anderson (Rephard) of Raccoon, KY and Rhonda Gail Conway (Melloyd) of Raccoon, KY; and his sisters, Lurlie May of Raccoon, KY, Joyce Miller (Burman) of Raccoon, KY, Phyllis May (Billy) of Raccoon, KY and Elleyn Howard (Bruce). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
