He was predeceased by: his parents, Stallard Adkins and Alma Adkins; and his siblings, Kenneth, Vernon, Phillip, Avery, Reed Adkins, Cloe Adkins, Geraldine Yates and Dora Robinson.
He is survived by: his wife Della Adkins (Sesco); his children, Jeffery Adkins (Catrina) and Patricia Adkins; and his sisters, Shirley Dials and Ruth Clevenger of Prestonsburg, KY. He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
