He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Hess and Ruby "Adkins" Hess; his brother Johnnie Michael Hess; and his sister-in-law Christena Hess. He is survived by: his daughter Ruby Marie Ciego (Dalton); his grandchildren, Jaysya and Elijah Ciego; and his sisters, Debra Justice (Ralph) and Jennifer Branham (David). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
