He is survived by: his wife Sandy Gwinn Harmon Thayer; his children, Julie Thayer Ruark and Shawn Harmon (Marie); his siblings, Bill Thayer (Patty), Mike Thayer (Katrina) and Dolly McBrayer (Bill); his grandchildren, Thayer Himes (Aleesha), Caleb Ruark (McKenzie), Elijah Ruark (Brooke), Josiah Harmon (Haley), Jillian, Sarah, Wyatt Harmon and Savannah; and his great grandchildren, Marley Ruark, Cooper Blank and Valeigh Himes.
