He is survived by: his sisters, Crystal Dawn Gilbert and Billie Carole "Cookie" Stone; his wife Rosemary Waters Gilbert; his daughters, Jodi Cauch (Dennis) of Georgetown, KY and Sheri Uhlenbruch (Christoph) of Lexington, KY; his grandchildren, Blake Adkins, Alexandra Adkins of Aaron and Jacen Cauch; and his siblings, Dorothy "Dottie" Pearl Logan of Quincy, Douglas "Doug" Gilbert Sr. of Quincy, Richard "Dick" Gilbert (Beth) of Pearisburg, VA and Theodore "Ted" Gilbert (Treva) of Vanceburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
