She was predeceased by: her father John Abbott; her husband Olis Mitchell; her close friend Kenneth Wester; her children, Wanda Slaughter, Lanny Mitchell and Susy Slaughter; her sons-in-law, Neal Kirby and Elvis Slaughter; her stepmother Euphy Harper Abbott; her siblings, Reval Keown, Nancy Keown, Josephine Kolodziej, Beulah "Mick" Skipper Middleton, Justine "Cindy" Dukes, Evadeen Abbott, Vernon Abbott, Chester "Check" Abbott, John T. Abbott and Ardell Abbott; her grandchildren, Terry Slaughter and Bryan Slaughter; and her great great grandchild Alyssa Gaddie.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Kirby and Danny Mitchell (Shirley); her son-in-law Thurman Slaughter; her brother Arliss "Ben" Abbott; and her grandchildren, Betsy Sharpe, Scotty Crawford, Tina Allen, Tonya Martin, Gary Slaughter, Eric Brown, Monty Mitchell, Joey Mitchell, Bill Gamble, Laura Ratliff, David Neal Kirby, Rae Anna Kirby and Roger Barks. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sandy Creek Cemetery, Oak Grove Cemetery or Pleasant Grove Church.
