He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edgar Garland, Sr. and Georgia Lois Garland; and his brothers, Charles Edgar Garland Jr. and Donald Franklin Garland. He is survived by: his significant other Hannah Faye Carter Garland; his daughter Rachel Forrester (James) of Knoxville, TN; his grandchildren, Emily, Evan and Noah; his son Jimmie Dale Garland, Jr. (Lara) of Dione, KY; his grandchildren, Liam, Daelyn and Cian; his nephews, Chuck, Craig, Chris, Randy and Russell Garland; his sister-in-law Elizabeth Lloyd (Dorsel); and his cousin Delores Burdine.
